A step guide to creating a Django development site. For webpage delivery, not REST or anything specialist. Far as I know, despite the claim in Django culture of fast development, no such guide exists. Not on the open web, anyway.

The official tutorial, between attempts to help and hector, is lumpy and misleading. And the documentation organisation is clear but bewilders. I suppose I could claim that this is the best Django tutorial on the web, but that’s a poor claim, isn’t it?

If you don’t know what a step does, or is about, you can find plenty of help on the web. Where options exist, I try to note them.
